Chronology :

In September 2021 Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. launched investigations based on one field report of a fire issue due to an oil leakage from one connection of the heat exchanger oil lines of the Aventador SVJ. An internal investigation was immediately launched to determine the failure aspects and the root cause.

In October 2021, results from the investigation revealed that, for the specific car, due to a production deviation there was no confirmation if the torque value at the screws on the connection of the heat exchanger oil lines met production specification.

In November 2021 further analysis on all production torque recorded values for the affected connection of the Aventador SVJ was performed.

A total number of additional 4 vehicles with a comparable production deviation was found.

On November 18, 2021 the matter was presented at the Product Safety Committee which determined that a potential safety consequence cannot be ruled out and decided to conduct a voluntary safety recall.

According to our sales record one of these vehicles reached the US market and is the object of this campaign.
