High Beams May Not Activate/FMVSS 108
High beam headlights that do not activate as intended can reduce visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.

Summary
Lamborghini (Automobili Lamborghini
) is recalling certain 2024 Huracan vehicles. The high beam headlights may not activate. As such, these vehicles fails to comply with the requirements of the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, “Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment.”
Remedy
Dealers will reconfigure the vehicle high beam settings, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed April 26, 2024. Owners may contact Lamborghini customer service at 1-866-681-6276. Lamborghini
’s number for this recall is L62X-R.02.24.

Chronology :
On February 15, 2024 a report following quality controls indicated that some vehicles were missing the correct functionality of the high beam headlamps.
An investigation was immediately launched which confirmed that the vehicles had undergone an internal rework after assembly release.
Further analysis confirmed that a missing configuration step during rework was the cause for the missing functionality.
Countermeasures were immediately implemented to ensure the correct configuration of vehicles in factory premises.
Identification of potentially affected vehicles initiated and a compliance assessment was requested.
On March 14, 2024 the results of investigation and assessments were presented in Lamborghini’s Product Safety Committee.
The pre-delivery inspections carried out by the dealers are highly likely to intercept and solve the issue before owners receive their cars, however, a possibility that some vehicles are delivered with the issue still remains.
Out of abundance of caution the Product Safety Committee determined that a non-compliance with FMVSS108 which relates to vehicle safety cannot be ruled out and decided to conduct a voluntary recall.
Lamborghini has not received any complaint or reports of a crash or injury due to this topic.

Description of the Cause : During an internal rework, some vehicles may have wrongly skipped the basic settings configuration of the high beam headlights. In the absence of the basic setting, it is possible that an error will be registered in the Headlamp ECU

Description of Remedy Program : Affected vehicles will perform a basic settings configuration through the
diagnostics system in order to resolve any possible errors in the Headlamp ECU, this way guaranteeing the correct activation of the High Beam. How Remedy Component Differs from Recalled Component :
Identify How/When Recall Condition was Corrected in Production : Corrected cars have the basic settings configuration of the Headlamp ECU appropriately performed.
This issue does not affect the regular production but only a specific number of vehicles that was undergoing an internal rework. Recall Schedule :
Description of Recall Schedule : Customer will be notified by registered mail and customer app while
dealers through Lamborghini dealer portal.
