Information to the field 

In case you have to remove scratches damaging the paint clear laque, please be informed that the following process and materials are strongly recommended by Automobili Lamborghini.

 

Important remark: the following polishing cycle is suitable for the removal of scratches only damaging the clear laque, for the repair of deeper scratches it’s necessary to repaint completely the part.

Prepare surface for polishing process depending on the specific case needs. If necessary use wet and/or dry abrasive paper finishing with abrasives Abralon P2000

(diam. 150 mm) and Abralon P4000 (diam. 150 mm).

In case of deep scratches 

  1. Polish the surface using:
    • Wool cloth “Cappuccio Merinos”
      Supplier: Ecocolor Engineering (Tel.0039059312277; info@ecocolor.net)

    • Abrasive paste “Eco Shine 100 Media”
      Producer: New Chemical (newchemicals.com – info@newchemicals.com)
  2. Repeat if necessary polishing like described in point 1.
  3. Polish the surface using:
    • Black soft corrugated sponge “05735-3M”
      Producer: 3M (www.3m.com)
      Article number: 05735
    • polishing paste Scholl P27
      Producer: Scholl Concepts GMBH (Tel. +49 (0) 7141-292990;
      Fax +49 (0) 7141-2929910; www.schollautocare.de; info@schollconcepts.com)

  4. Clean accurately removing every trace of the products precedently used with:
    • Isopropanolo 15% solution
      Producer: Oldenchemical (Tel. +39-011-945.09.

  5. Check accurately the surface. If it’s necessary, repeat operations at point 1, 2.
  6. Additional operation only for black, blue and red cars:
    Apply manually the following polish paste:

    • Polish Super Glym
      Producer: Autoglym (Tel. + 44(0)146267776614; www.autoglym.com) 

 

In case of light scratches

  1. Polish the surface using:
    • Black soft corrugated sponge “05735-3M”
      Producer: 3M (www.3m.com)

    • polishing paste Scholl P27

NOTE

Before starting every operation of the polishing process the surfaces must be perfectly cleaned from every trace of dirt or materials used during former operations.
