During ongoing monitoring of its products, Automobili
Lamborghini S.p.A. Lamborghini has discovered
that the fuel quick connector located in the engine
compartment could be subjected to temperatures
above the design operating specification limit. On
some of the affected vehicles, the integrity of the
quick connector of the fuel line may be compromised.

with a newly designed one is therefore requested.

How to handle the replaced components:
Label the replaced components and properly store
them along with their bar code so they can be identified
during inspections of the Area Manager.
Fill out the After-Sales service and recall campaigns
section in the warranty booklet, as shown in the figure
below.

Preliminary operations
1. To access the connection, remove the air intake
filter box.
To remove or replace the connection, it is necessary
to discharge the fuel pressure in the low
pressure delivery system.
To perform these operations, follow the instructions
given in the workshop manual at the following

Procedure 3. Disconnect the connector for the fuel pressure
sensor.
ATTENTION!
Wait until the vehicle has cooled down completely.
2. Use the release clips (arrow A) and briefly press
the quick-release connector (1) towards the fuel
connector (arrow B), then release the connector
(1) by pulling it towards the rear (arrow C).

4. Using the VAS 6856 (or equivalent) tube clamp
gripper, open the clamp (1) and free the fuel line
(arrow).
5. Position the new fuel line (1) (OP2133986C) on
the metal connection (2).

marks shown on the flexible part of the fuel line

7. Connect the connector for the fuel pressure sensor.

IMPORTANT!
[A] Check that the wiring position is like the one
shown in the figure.
8. Connect the quick-release connector (1) to the
fuel connector (2) and press the closing retainer
(arrow).
IMPORTANT!
With reference to figure 9, check that the retainer
is in the correct closing position, identified
by the red line (arrow).
Perform a manual traction test to confirm
that the connection is reliable.
Also check the proper connection of the fuel
lines adjacent to the one replaced.

9. Start the engine for a few minutes until the operating
temperature is reached, and check that
there are no fuel leaks.
Final operations
10. Complete installation following the procedure in
the reverse order of the preliminary operations.

Dear Lamborghini Owner, Lessee,
This notice is sent to you in accordance with the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act. Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. has decided that a defect, which relates to motor vehicle safety, exists in certain Model Year 2019 and 2020 Urus vehicles. Our records indicate that you are the owner of a vehicle in this recall.
What is the issue?
On the affected vehicles, a quick connector attached to the fuel line located in the engine compartment might not function properly. In certain instances, the quick connector could be exposed to high engine temperatures that are above the connector’s designed specification limit. These high temperatures can cause the quick connector to become damaged, , which could potentially result in a connection malfunction, ultimately resulting in a fuel leak. A strong fuel smell in the engine bay is an indication of a fuel leak.
Fuel leakage near an ignition source increases the risk of an engine bay fire.
It is necessary to repair these vehicles due to these possible malfunctions. If you are not the only driver of this vehicle, please inform all other vehicle operators to ensure the vehicle is repaired as soon as possible.

of charge. The repair may take up to 1 hour to complete. We apologize for any
inconvenience this recall may cause.
Please bring this letter and your Service Booklet with you when you visit the dealer, so
that the dealer can make all necessary entries.

You can update your vehicle ownership or contact information by filling out the
enclosed document (Appendix A) and sending it to Lamborghini by following the

Recall Campaign: Fuel Line Quick Connector replacement on Lamborghini

Dear valued Lamborghini Sales and Service Manager,
In the course of continuous product monitoring and internal tests, Automobili Lamborghini
S.p.A. has determined that a defect that relates to motor vehicle safety exists in certain
2019-2020 Lamborghini Urus.
On rare instances, high engine compartment temperatures subject the quick connectors to
temperatures above the design operating specification limit. These elevated temperatures
can lead to the quick connector material softening which could potentially result in a fuel
leak.
For the reasons listed above, in a precautionary manner, Automobili Lamborghini decided
to launch a worldwide recall campaign to rework the involved cars. The repair instructions
will soon be available on the HUB section “Service and Recall Campaigns” as well as on
LIASS.
Please be informed that in order to guarantee the appropriate quantities of relevant spare
parts to each dealership at beginning of the campaign, Lamborghini will send a batch of
components directly to your business without the need for ordering. Please await the
availability of technical instructions, the official campaign launch in LIASS and follow
strictly the instructions described in the bulletin. After that, for any additional quantity
necessary, please use the spare parts ordering system as per usual.
In order to further support you in answering questions to your customers, we are attaching
the FAQ (Frequent Asked Question) you must follow. Since these activities are extremely
important, we are confident you will make every effort to ensure that the vehicles are
repaired in the shortest time possible.
